Local Governing Body

The Board also has established committees known as ‘local governing bodies’ for each school within the Trust. Their role is to oversee all matters relating to pupils’ learning and wellbeing. The core function of a local governing body covers all factors which relate to, and underpin, good teaching and learning. It has a critical role in monitoring the progress and impact of personalised learning interventions to ensure high standards and pupil outcomes in line with the Trust’s vision and strategy. Each of the schools within the Trust has a maximum of eleven governing body members, compromising:

  • Headteacher/Head of School

  • 2 staff governors

  • At least 2 co-opted/community governors

  • At least 2 parent governors
