I am a holistic and wellbeing Coach and Mentor for adults and children. I used to manage Children's Centres and ran many parenting workshops with parents and carers on the general challenges of parenting.
I now visit schools across Essex to share some useful strategies to support children with their mental and emotional wellbeing. There are many reasons why children may need extra support at a young age, it could be about anxiety, anger, confidence or fear or some other reason with regulating their emotions. There could be some additional or special needs which may cause some frustration and distress.
The aim of my sessions are to offer mindfulness and confidence building activities which can help children to become more self-aware of their thoughts and feelings and to explore techniques to help them develop their resilience and develop emotional control.
I also include mindfulness meditation, which is a great technique to help children reduce anxiety and stress, and this can even help to boost creativity and productivity as meditation can deepen concentration and lessen mental effort to stay focused.
