At St Mary’s C of E Primary, our EYFS Art & Design provision supports the development of children's creativity, imagination, and cultural awareness. In line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, we recognise the importance of regular, high-quality opportunities for children to explore a wide range of materials and media. These experiences are vital in building their confidence, expressive language, fine motor skills, and understanding of the visual and performing arts.

• Use a range of small tools, including scissors, paintbrushes, and cutlery.

• Begin to show accuracy and control when drawing.
