SIAMS REPORT
St. Mary's Church of England Primary School: SIAMS Inspection Summary
St. Mary's continues to flourish as a deeply caring and inclusive Church school. Following our latest Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) on 17 September 2025, we are proud to share the highlights of a report that celebrates our commitment to our pupils and our community.
Key Strengths
Inspirational Worship: Daily collective worship provides an uplifting start to the day, allowing pupils and staff to reflect deeply on spirituality and personal growth.
Strong Pastoral Care: The wellbeing of our community is a "palpable" priority, with pupils actively looking out for one another with love and care.
Engaging RE Curriculum: Religious Education is skillfully taught, offering a broad study of Christianity and world faiths that fosters high levels of respect and understanding.
Character Building: Beyond the classroom, our "forest school" approach and various leadership opportunities help pupils develop resilience, teamwork, and a strong moral compass.
Empowering Our Pupils
At St. Mary's, we prioritize student voice. Our pupils feel genuinely empowered, often stating, "our voice matters". Whether they are acting as pupil prayer leaders or wrapping gifts for children in Ghana, our students are growing into compassionate, responsible citizens who understand justice and fairness.
"The Christian vision... is deeply embedded influencing decisions and actions... As a consequence, [pupils and adults] are able to thrive."
